Why is there never any good news?

Can anyone tell me why I can't flick to the news and watch twenty minutes of things people have succeeded in doing? Why can I only watch stuff about bombings and death? Thats stuff has happened and is over with, forget about it. Why not learn that someone has created something new that will change the future world for the better? I really hate the news!!
